Interpretation of History Within the Evolutionary Concept of J. V. Jensen: the First Part of “The Cimbrian Trail”
Abstract
The article aims to analyze the first part of “The Cimbrian Trail” — “The Cimbrians” – which is a part of the epic series of evolutionary novels “The Long Journey” (1908–1922) in the context of the literary work of the great Danish writer and poet, the Nobel Prize winner Johannes V. Jensen’s (1873–1950). The article is primarily focused on the historical, philosophical and compositional constituents of the novel.
