Russian Verbal Aspect and German-Russian Translation
Abstract
The paper deals with the Russian verbal aspect in its relation to the translation from German into Russian. The problems encountered thereby are caused by the lack of the corresponding category in German and the need to choose one of the aspect forms in Russian. The article examines several types of these difficulties and provides their classification; the reasons for translator’s possible decisions are described.
