Abstract

The article analyses the deviations from the etymological writing of the reduced vowels in the Old Russian copy of Sticherarion — the manuscript of the middle of the 12th century. The specificity of the orthography of the notated chant book allows to make some conclusions about the state of the reduced vowels in the Old Russian language of this period.
