Ценностные модели культуры и проблема переводческой эквивалентности: The Gift of the Magi О.Генри и его перевод на русский язык

Статья посвящена проблеме функциональной эквивалентности перевода художественного текста. На примере анализа канонического перевода рассказа О. Генри «The Gift of the Magi» на русский язык в русле функционально-семиотического подхода к смысловой структуре языковых высказываний формулируется принцип обязательности реконструктивного метода прочтения текста оригинала как основы для работы над переводом. В статье раскрывается механизм реконструктивного прочтения, заключающийся в последовательном выявлении маркеров ценностного конфликта в тексте за счет установления смысловых контрастов между элементами текста и рамочными ценностными суждениями (фреймами различных функциональных уровней), словесно обозначенными в повествовании, что позволяет установить смысловую мотивированность всех единиц текста и четко определить содержание ценностного конфликта, лежащего в его основе. Кроме того, в ходе сопоставительного анализа двух версий текста О. Генри (англоязычного оригинала и «канонического» перевода Е. Д. Калашниковой) продемонстрировано, каким образом игнорирование ключевых элементов смысловой организации оригинала, обеспечивающих контрастное взаимодействие с легко узнаваемыми ценностными структурами, приводит к полной утрате смыслового соответствия текста перевода с оригиналом. Это становится еще более очевидным при анализе текстов русскоязычных литературных критиков, принявших как данность тривиализацию смысла текста в переводе, что грозит возведением барьеров между языковыми культурами. Таким образом, в статье формулируется метод реконструктивного прочтения текста, базирующийся на ряде принципов функционально-семиотической теории, и утверждается необходимость рассматривать его как основу для дальнейшего осуществлении перевода художественного текста.
