The motif of death in S.Kozlov’s tale “Is that true we’ll live for ages”
Abstract
Daria Nezhinskaya, in her article “The motif of death in S. G. Kozlov’s tale “Is that true we’ll live for ages”, focuses on the semantic variations of the motif of death, its formation and following development. Due to the technique of “slow reading” the researcher managed to reveal special philosophical implication of the text. A striking feature of the tale is the idea of inevitable germination of a new life on the place of the old. Probably, it is explained by the infl uence of ancient archetypes of death in European and Russian folk culture.
