The äerma in the Apocalypse of Peter: Revised (NHC VII.3: 78. 18)
Abstract
The paper deals with the interpretation of a dark word äerma which one finds in the passage 78. 18 of the Apocalypse of Peter (Nag Hammadi Codex VII. 3). Illustrated by the vast collection of examples, the article argues that the word is not the name, as the previous scholars asserted, but the Greek substantive i. e. «support, basis».
