Перевод на иностранный язык на рынке перевода и в подготовке переводчиков

В статье освещается проблема направления перевода, то есть практика устного и письменного перевода на иностранный для переводчиков язык. Во-первых, отмечается, что статус перевода на второй для переводчика язык (Язык-2, или Язык-В) в последнее время заметно чаще стал обсуждаться в переводоведении, в частности, в теоретическом аспекте. Далее приводится обзор результатов экспериментального исследования преподавания перевода на Язык-2: в частности, проверяется справедливость утверждения того, что преподаватель может вести только курс перевода на родной для него язык (Язык-А), и уточняется, подтверждено ли это фактическим положением дел. На основании результатов анкетирования и видеозаписи занятий шести преподавателей перевода (два билингва, два преподавателя, для которых язык перевода является родным, и два преподавателя, для которых язык перевода является иностранным) доказывается, что, несмотря на разницу в методах преподавания, каждая из этих категорий преподавателей вносит положительный вклад в процесс обучения переводу на Язык-2, но при этом билингвы и носители языка перевода приносят больше пользы на более продвинутом этапе обучения. Во-вторых, в статье уделяется внимание компетенциям, которыми должны овладеть студенты для перевода на Язык-В и Язык-С. В результате изучения 580 данных итоговых экзаменов по переводу в магистратуре по переводоведнию Люблянского университета (Словения) за 2010–2015 гг. установлено, что в среднем успеваемость студентов по переводу на родной Язык-1 (особенно с Языка-С) несколько выше. Тем не менее сопоставление индивидуальных результатов показывает, что существует отчетливая корреляция между баллами, которые студент получает за перевод на Язык-2, и теми, что он же получает за перевод на Язык-1. В заключении делается вывод о том, что успехи студентов, по-видимому, зависят главным образом от овладения профессионально-переводческой компетенцией (независимо от направления перевода), и в меньшей степени от овладения языковой компетенцией.
